How Flux Pools Work ⚡
Flux operates on a 5-minute pool trading system, where traders can place trades on whether the price of an asset will go up or down by the end of the round.
Pool Structure
Each round lasts exactly 5 minutes and follows a structured process:
Round Starts ⏳ – Users can place their trades on whether the price will go Up 📈 or Down 📉 during the round.
Live Trading Phase ⚡ – Trading remains open, and users can continue to join the pool.
Round Locks (3 Seconds Before End) 🔒 – At 4 minutes 57 seconds, the round is locked, preventing further trades. ( We implemented 3 second lock before actual 5min mark, just because Solana congestion can sometimes be pain.)
Round Ends (At 5 Minutes) ⏳ – The final price is recorded, and payouts are calculated.
How Multipliers Are Calculated 🧮
Flux uses a real-time multiplier system that adjusts based on the total amount in each pool:
The multiplier for each side (Up or Down) is calculated using the ratio of total trade sizes on both sides.
Formula:

This ensures fair and dynamic odds. If one side has significantly bigger pool size, the potential rewards for the less popular side increases.
Winning & Payouts 💰
After 5 minutes, the final price is compared to the locked price.
If the price is higher, those who chose Up 📈 win.
If the price is lower, those who chose Down 📉 win.
Payouts = Amount × Multiplier for the winning side.
